Auto Mode: we run it for you
The AURAX EA only trades while an MT5 terminal is actually running. Auto Mode moves that terminal off your own machine and onto an AURAX-managed VPS, so it keeps running when your laptop is closed, updating or offline. Everything else — your broker, your account, your settings — stays exactly where it was.

Auto Mode is a hosting option. It does not change the strategy, the risk settings or the outcome of your trading, and it is not a guarantee that the bot is running — a hosted terminal can still be stopped by a broker-side event, a failed login after you change your password, or a fault we have to fix.
Two ways to run the bot
Both run the same EA against the same broker account. The only difference is whose machine the MT5 terminal sits on — and, as a consequence, who has to keep it online.

Before you start
Four things need to be true before the managed option will provision cleanly.
An AURAX plan or an active trial
Auto Mode covers hosting only. The account still needs a license seat, which comes from your plan or your free trial.
An MT5 account on a supported server
The managed fleet only carries server files for the brokers listed below. If yours isn't there, self-hosting is the route today.
Your MT5 trading (main) password
Not the investor password — a read-only investor login cannot place trades, so the hosted terminal cannot use it.
Willingness to pay the hosting fee
€20 / month per MT5 account, charged separately from your plan. Nothing is provisioned until that payment is confirmed.

This list reflects the broker server files installed on the managed nodes and can change. Running on a broker outside it is a self-hosted setup — see How it works and the setup docs.
Setting it up
The whole flow happens in the portal. Steps 1–4 are yours; step 5 is ours.
Add the MT5 account in your portal
Log in and open Accounts → Add account. Fill in the MT5 account number and the symbol the bot should trade (XAUUSD). You need an active plan or a running trial with a free license seat — Auto Mode is hosting, not a substitute for a license.
Choose “AURAX Managed VPS” as the hosting option
The hosting field offers two choices: host it yourself, or let AURAX run it. Picking the managed option switches the broker field to the list of servers our fleet currently supports, and asks for the credentials the terminal needs to log in.
Enter your broker server and MT5 trading password
A hosted terminal has to log into your account the same way you would, so the managed option requires your MT5 trading (main) password in addition to the account number. If you would rather not hand that over, host the bot yourself instead — the self-hosted path never asks for it.
A €20 / month hosting request appears on your account
Submitting the form raises a managed-hosting payment request against your account and notifies our team. This fee is per MT5 account and is charged on top of your AURAX plan — it pays for the machine your terminal runs on, not for the license.
We provision the instance once payment is confirmed
After the payment is confirmed, provisioning is automatic: we create a dedicated MT5 instance on an AURAX VPS node, configure it to log into your account, attach the AURAX EA to XAUUSD on the M1 chart with your license key, allow the portal's WebRequest URL, and start the terminal. No further action is needed from you.

Once it reaches Running, a managed account behaves like any other in the portal: the same live dashboard, the same history and analytics, and the same controls. Commands you send — pause, resume, close all, apply a template — reach the bot on its next check-in, typically within about a minute, whenever MT5, the EA and the connection are online.
What changes, and what doesn't
Still entirely yours
- The broker relationship — your account, your funds, your terms. AURAX is not a broker and never holds your capital.
- Every risk and strategy setting, changed from the portal exactly as before.
- Pause, resume and close-all, on the same one-check-in delay as any other account.
- Direct access to your own MT5 account — you can log in from your own terminal or phone whenever you want.
- The decision to stop: cancel managed hosting and the instance is torn down.
What you hand over
- Your MT5 trading password, stored by AURAX so the hosted terminal can log in on your behalf. There is no way to run a terminal for you without it.
- Where the terminal physically runs, and therefore who patches, reboots and monitors that machine.
- Broker choice, for as long as you stay on managed hosting — the fleet supports the servers listed above.
- If you change your MT5 password, the hosted terminal stops being able to log in until you update it in the portal.
Deciding whether to share the password
Handing a trading password to any third party is a real decision, and it is the one thing Auto Mode requires that self-hosting does not. If you are not comfortable with it, run the bot on your own machine or your own VPS instead — the EA is identical either way and nothing about the strategy or your license changes. What Auto Mode does not do
Managed hosting removes one failure mode — your own machine being off. It does not remove the others.
It does not change the strategy or improve results
The same EA runs the same way it would on your own machine. Uptime is not performance: a bot that stays running can still lose, and automation does not guarantee profit.
It does not put AURAX between you and your broker
Orders still go from the EA to your broker through the terminal, and your broker fills them under their own execution, spread, swap and margin rules. A broker-side stop-out or margin call is independent of anything AURAX configures.
It is not a server-side kill switch
Risk limits are enforced by the EA inside the terminal, hosted or not. If that terminal is down, no drawdown limit and no remote command can act until it is back up — positions already open stay open at your broker and remain exposed to the market.
It is not instant, and it is not unattended forever
Provisioning starts after the hosting payment is confirmed, not at the moment you submit the form. And a hosted instance still needs you to keep the broker account funded, the password current, and your plan active.

The free trial runs on a demo account without risking real funds, and you can pick the hosting option per MT5 account — self-hosted now, Auto Mode when you want the terminal off your own machine.
