What is AURAX?+
AURAX is trading-automation software (an Expert Advisor) for MetaTrader 5, plus a web portal to configure, monitor and control it. It runs a systematic gold (XAUUSD) grid-and-basket strategy on your own MT5 account.
Does AURAX hold client funds?+
No. AURAX is not a broker and never holds your trading capital. Your money stays with your own broker, in your own MT5 account — AURAX only provides the automation software and the monitoring portal.
Does AURAX guarantee profit?+
No. No trading system can guarantee profit. The bot applies a defined strategy with risk limits you control, but losses — including the loss of your full account balance — are possible.
Do I need to pay to try it?+
No. The 3-day trial is free and needs no card — the bot runs on a demo MT5 account you set up yourself, so you see real bot behaviour without risking real funds.
Whose money does the bot trade?+
Your own. You add your MT5 account and the bot trades there. AURAX never holds your funds — we provide the automation software and the portal to monitor it.
What happens if MT5 or the EA goes offline?+
If the MT5 terminal, the EA, or your connection goes down, the bot stops acting — it does not keep trading blind. Positions already open stay open at your broker until the terminal reconnects or you manage them directly in MT5. The portal shows a clear offline/stale status so you know when that's happening.
Can trades lose money?+
Yes. Every trade and every basket can close at a loss, and a losing streak can draw down the account significantly. Drawdown limits are a control you configure, not a guarantee against loss.
What account or broker requirements exist?+
You need an MT5 account (demo or live) with a broker that allows automated/algorithmic trading and outbound WebRequest calls to aurax.trade. The docs cover setup step by step.
How do remote controls work?+
Pause, resume and close-all commands are sent from the portal and picked up by the EA on its next check-in with our servers — typically within about a minute, not instantly — and only while MT5, the EA and your connection are online.
What does the trial include?+
Full portal access and the live bot running on a demo MT5 account you provide, for 3 days, with no card required. After the trial, an account needs an active plan to keep trading.
How is performance calculated?+
Published performance is computed from the actual balance, equity and closed-trade history reported by a real MT5 account, with the method documented on the performance page — never invented or simulated for display.
